Steps & Procedures

A kitchen remodel is a major home improvement project that can transform your space and increase your property value. However, it also requires careful planning, budgeting, and execution. To help you achieve your dream kitchen, here are the steps we go through to guide you to your dream kitchen.

Consultation

We start by listening to your vision, needs, and budget for your kitchen remodel. We offer a free in-home consultation to assess your existing space, take measurements, and discuss your design preferences and goals. Our goal is for you to end the meeting feeling empowered with knowledge and excited about your remodel.

Step 1

Proposal & Agreement

We provide you with a detailed proposal that outlines the scope of work, the cost, and the timeline for the project. Any questions or concerns will be addressed as well. Once you are satisfied with the proposal, we will sign a contract and start the design and planning process.

Step 2

Design & Planning

We will help you create a kitchen design that suits your needs, space, and lifestyle. Harmony will also help guide choices in the materials, colors, and options to stay within budget and keep the project aligned with the timeline.

Step 3

Permits & Preparation

Harmony will obtain the necessary permits and inspections from the local city or county and prepare the site for the renovation. A constructive demo may cover removing old cabinets, countertops, flooring, fixtures, and more. All flooring and other locations in the house will be protected, and all debris will be disposed of legally and/or donated to Habitat for Humanity.

Step 4

Construction & Installation

We begin the construction phase by installing the new cabinets, countertops, flooring, plumbing, and electrical fixtures, according to the design plan. We also coordinate with all subcontractors and suppliers involved in the project to make sure we stay on time and within budget.

Step 5

Completion & Follow-up

At the end of the project, we perform a final cleaning of the site, testing the functionality of everything in the kitchen, and making any final adjustments. Raymond will also perform a final walkthrough of the kitchen with you to make sure everything is operational, clean, and installed correctly, along with addressing any final questions or concerns. We will also provide you with a gallery of photos throughout the project and a receipt for your records. We will also provide a Universal Lien Release to document that every subcontractor has been paid in full and there are no future surprises.
